Locamation was founded by graduates of the Twente University of Technology in 1983. Locamation started by developing industrial control and real-time software; many of those solutions are still being used and serviced today. In the early 90s, Locamation extended its solution to the electricity transmission and distribution market with the SAS2000, a solution for high-voltage substation automation, which is used in countries like the Netherlands, UK, Thailand and others. In 2004, Locamation started the development of the SASensor solution and today there are a great number of primary substations equipped with this cutting-edge technology and system architecture. A committed roll-out in approximately 400 substations of the largest grid operating company in the Netherlands will take Locamation and SASensor to the next level.
