Central Control Unit (CCU)
The heart of SASensor is the Central Control Unit (CCU), an “all-in-one-box” unit, consisting of a mainstream “off-the-shelf” Single Board Computer (SBC) and a number of fiber optic interface boards which functionally act as Ethernet switch.
Versatile Communication Unit (VCU)
The Versatile Communication Unit (VCU) is the gateway that not only connects the SASensor's Central Control Units with the remote control centre for remote operation and maintenance, but also with the office for continuous access to all digital information from the substation.
