Advanced functionality to enable Smart Grids
Extreme accurate measurement and timing of the process information within SASensor gives opportunities for new advanced application functions now and in the future. Functions like:

Reduction of initial cost
SASensor has an architecture with a view on minimizing the total number of “boxes”. This will automatically reduce the initial cost. On top of this reduction of physical devices it results in a reduction of engineering, installation, wiring and testing: everything that isn't there, doesn't cost anything either! So depending on the level of integration accepted by the customer one can imagine and calculate the potential on cost reduction.
Reduction in operational cost:
- Mounting of the Interface Modules is simple, therefore requiring short outage times
- Software management tools and simplicity of upgrading the functionality, change and version management is performed from remote by the use of integrated VPN network technology with guaranteed the highest level of security.
- SASensor with “the Power of Simplicity” in the hardware sense (minimal number of different hardware devices separated in long life and mainstream off-the-shelf) and software sense (configuring customer specific “typical bays” as a cluster of “required functions”).
