Primary switchgear is locally controlable in the overview screens. The control-mode must be set to ‘Local’ after the permission to do so is authorized. Selecting the object to be controlled gives a menu in the left bottom ‘Control’ frame.Interlocking of primary switchgear is user configurable by the SASensor APLC configuration language.
The open technology of the user interface enables the possibilities of remote access from any location, such as the Remote Control Centre, to the system. Because of the secure connection, the SASensor system is safely accessible for all authorized employees for remote controlling. For example, switchgear controlling and system maintenance is done remotely by these secure connections. However, using the local SASensor-PC, the plant engineer can also control the system in the substation. A test mode is available to enable local tests on the system. When a bay is set into test mode, alarm messages are blocked. Also the fault recording function is then disabled.
Voltage regulation by Automatic Tap Changer Control is available for parallel transformers in master/slave mode or optionally with circulating current compensation, virtual voltage control with line drop compensation.
