DCU 221
The Dispersed Control Unit (DCU221) is the computing, communication and power management device of SASensor MLV.
The DCU221 is the “all-in-one-box” unit with a Computer, Communication interfaces like Ethernet, RS485/422, RS232, Current-Link-Interface, wireless 3G. The unit is powered from a DC source and/or with an external battery. Time synchronization is performed by the build-in GPS receiver.

AIM251
The Analogue Interface Module (AIM) measures and digitizes signals and sends the data over Ethernet to the Control Unit. The AIM is used in combination with signal converters of the SASensor SC200 series that convert for instance the voltage and current and other kind of process signals into the standard input signal value range of the AIM251 module.
The AIM features:
- 15 analogue inputs in 5 groups of 3 measurement channels
- analogue signals come from the SC200 series signal converters
- 3 signal converters of any kind can be set in series and connected to one of the input ports of the AIM251. For instance 5 sets of three phase measurements can be handled within one AIM251 module.
- Power supply over Ethernet (PoE)
- Two PoE ports to enable cascading of interface modules
- Internal firmware is remote upgradeable
The AIM is robustly designed for long life and maintenance free operation.

BIM241
The Breaker Interface Module (BIM241) is a compact input/output interface device to operate and monitor equipment
The BIM features:
- 10 digital inputs, supplying their own power to external dry contacts, such as position, indication and alarm contacts
- 4 relay outputs as single, normally open, heavy duty relay contacts. Each contact is provided with two circuit supervision schemes. One monitors the electrical circuit where the “to-be-closed” contact is connected and the other monitors the ability to activate the output.
- Power supply over Ethernet
- Two PoE ports to enable the cascading of interface modules
- Internal firmware is remote upgradeable by secure connection
The BIM is robustly designed for long life and maintenance free operation.
